When I saw them, I thought immediately that they might provide additional ammo for your skullgun, from Neal Stephenson's 1995 novel The Diamond Age:

It turns out that the bullets shown in the Skullcandy headphones are fake - not that the guys who scan your stuff at the airport will really care.
