Medusa Quadruped Robot Toy
The Medusa II is a cool little quadrupedal robot that you can put together yourself. These robots are sold in kit form for use in Japanese classrooms.

The robot reacts to sounds and will move when you command it to do so. It's "insides" are displayed in the dome.

This year's model sports legs rather than wheels on the bottom; it is also in that new "AKUABURU" color. "Aqua-blue" is what it looks like to me.
Presumably, the robot gets its name from the sea creature - a medusa jellyfish - that it closely resembles.
