SentiSight Object Recognition For Robot Overlords
SentiSight object recognition technology from Neurotechnology is designed to be as "universal as possible" in solving the problem that has so vexed our would-be robotic overlords - recognizing objects.
Besides the usual "human laboriously enters data points" mode, SentiSight allows for a kind of automatic object learning. See the photo below in which SentiSight learns by itself from an object held up by an obedient, trained human.

Neurotechnology's SentiSight is intended for developers who want to use computer vision-based object recognition in their applications. SentiSight enables the learning of objects and searching for learned objects in images from almost any camera, webcam, still picture or live video. The SentiSight algorithm provides simultaneous multiple 2D and 3D object detection and recognition, and is able to find out: whether a particular object is presented in a scene; where the object is located in the scene; how many instances of the object are there in the scene. The algorithm is also able to estimate the region an object occupies in a scene, providing additional information about the size, orientation and scale of the recognized object.
Sfnal robots require good object recognition; the sooner this capability is easily installed, the sooner we will have to bow down before them. Hopefully, they won't read about the smart goggles that can help humans identify objects.
