Cory Doctorow:

Cory Doctorow (b. 1971) is a Canadian sf writer and blogger. Raised in an activist household, he worked in the nuclear disarmament movement as a teen. He writes full-time (as of 2006); he is also a Fellow of the Electronic Frontier Foundation. His first novel, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, was the first novel released under the then-new Creative Commons license system.
