| "Just so you know, Philippe Starck has designed a digital finger watch made of stainless steel and sold at fossil.com. The only problem is that it only comes in sizes 6,7 and 8." ( 4/27/2004 7:54:18 AM ) |
| "I looked on the fossil site, but the Starck watches were full-sized (although they looked ring-like in the pictures). I searched again and found a finger watch for runners by Fila; it is a long display worn like a sleeve over the finger and has a long display. Not quite what Heinlein had in mind." (Bill Christensen 4/27/2004 10:49:18 AM ) |
| "Why doesn't Fila sell these on their sites? Anyone know where I can get one of these?" ( 7/15/2004 9:48:26 AM ) |
| "I have a finger watch made from digits, its s nice piece, gold plated, looks just like a wrist watch but much smaller" (chris 8/20/2004 3:56:19 AM ) |
| "I no where to buy fila finger watches " (Brendan Murton 12/7/2004 7:41:05 PM ) |
| "They have had small wristwatch rings that people have worn for years." (They have these 2/23/2005 6:23:18 PM ) |
| "I have few New Fila Finger Watches for sale. $25
apiece. Original Price os $50 and you can't find it anywhere anyway. Contact me at yuraasup@yahoo.com for details." (yuraasup 8/21/2005 4:39:18 PM ) |
| "The Starck ring is a bit bulky. The watch portion rises up 1cm from the ring itself.
I wanted something more like what one of the characters (played by Matt Frewer) in Star Trek: TNG: Season 5 episode 9 was wearing. His finger watch seemed to flip open." (startrek fan 8/22/2005 8:12:16 PM ) |
| "I had a finger-ring watch once, but it wasn't very comfortable. It was made like those watch bands made out of metal links that stretch to fit. The problem is, the ring-sized ones pinch even worse than the wrist-sized ones.
" (Moondragon 9/2/2005 12:30:12 AM ) |
| "We have a stainless steel finger watch with a fish logo on the face, no numbers could you tell me any more details of cost and who makes these just in case it breaks down. You can email me at, iain0917@hotmail.com " (campbell 9/11/2005 10:29:28 AM ) |
| "They've been selling digital ring-watches at drleaonards.com for at least a decade. The watchband's links do pinch, as mentioned above, and the plating wears off quickly though. But for $3....
Heinlein was probably enamored with the idea of smaller watches: he wore ladies wristwatches.
