Comments on Tribal Pizza Carputer For Snow Crash Deliverator
It's just the first generation, but I can almost smell that fresh 'za gliding silently to my house. (Read
the complete story)
| "Tribal Pizza CEO Grieves also offered this tantalizing bit about the future of pizza delivery:
'In the vehicle we not only have the directions for the driver, but we also have an EVDO card that uploads the vehicle location and some telemetry data every few seconds. This allows us to constantly update the delivery time and do some fun things like SMS/email/call when an order is a minute or two away (at the customer's request).'
I can't believe someone running a company is actually going to do this. This is absolutely my dream come true. You know those sites where you can check on the status of your package? They're cool, but what I'd really like is to see that package coming right up my street.
This guy looks like he's ready to do that with my pizza. Order online, watch it as it makes its way across town to your house. "
