| "As a pilot, owner, and general aviation aircraft mechanic, this seems absolutely brilliant, provided it has a decent storage capacity. Being able to put all of this into one multi-display device would save tons of time. Why waste time gathering up a manual, CD roms, possibly dozens of logbooks, TCDS, and drag it all over to a computer and/or microfiche to ensure all of your info is up-to-date? Currently, manuals are confined mostly to manuals requiring constant searching and page turning, not to mention flipping back and forth from a figure or table to relevant text 3 pages back (and they cost a small fortune to replace with each update). Service info (service bulletins, ADs, etc) during inspection is even worse, as you constantly need to sort through which ones apply (after finding them on a microfiche, FAA website, or some computer programs) then verify their compliance. Of course, none of that matters until after a conformity check, which usually means comparing what's on the aircraft to what the TCDS, minimum equipment list, and logbooks say.
