Release it's funky little smoke screen (which the criminal [having done his homework] will already be privvy too) and have the intruder just laugh as he continues stealing.

This pathetic little machine seems just like a more-mobile security camera with corny smoke screens and lousy sound effect.
Please, use your money for something else, mister inventor-scientist dudes.
