Comments on Secom Robot X Security Guard Works For Less
The Secom Robot X security guard, which can be controlled remotely or pre-programmed, will not be sold to customers; it will replace human security guards for half the cost. (Read the complete story)

"I can just see this little machine running...er..."walking" down a thief blaring: "Intruder. Alert. Alert. Intruder." Release it's funky little smoke screen (which the criminal [having done his homework] will already be privvy too) and have the intruder just laugh as he continues stealing. 1/2 STAR RATING (out of FIVE) for me. This pathetic little machine seems just like a more-mobile security camera with corny smoke screens and lousy sound effect. Please, use your money for something else, mister inventor-scientist dudes. Samuel."

"I see what you mean! I'm sure this device is not intended to capture or immobilize thieves or vandals. However, the purpose of most security guards is to check to make sure an area is secure, and to notify the police if a problem is found. A remote-controlled (or pre-programmed) drone can serve exactly the same purpose; it can also take pictures of intruders and can keep intruders in sight while police are summoned."
