(A notable literary precursor was 'The Big Time' by Fritz Lieber in 1958. The time war in 'The Sarah Connor Chronicles' seems to be simpler and across a shorter time span than in Lieber's, though looking at that surreal assassin-creature in the video, the Terminator war might be orchestrated from much further in the future than the most of the characters believe."
