Electrolux Trilobite: Programmable Robot Vacuum Cleaner
The Trilobyte 2.0 is the new version of their self-propelled robot vacuum cleaner. It has more going for it than it's metallic silvery-green color - you can program it.

(From Trilobite Vacuum Robot)
The Trilobite 2.0 has an improved 60,000 Hz sonar sensor to detect stairs. A magnetic strip can be used to keep it from going into particular rooms. It can be programmed to clean at specific times every day; it can also roll itself back to its recharging station when power gets low, and then resume its appointed task when recharged.
The following paleontological information is helpfully provided by Electrolux:
The trilobite was a type of arthropod that vacuumed the ocean beds for small animals and particles about 250-560 million years ago. Its back was hard, and the trilobite is perhaps the best known of the fossils seen in walls, steps and flooring made of stone.
Depending on how fascinated you are with robot vacuum cleaners, be sure to take a look at Robovac Visualizes Your Home. You might also want to take a look at the robot mouse from Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles, which scurried about cleaning with their little bristly mustaches and then returned to their burrows.
