Robotic Bulldozer Force Doubles In Israel
Unmanned robotic bulldozers have been used by the Israelis to clear a path through areas with landmines and demolish houses in Gaza. The device is based on the D9 Caterpillar model; with armor plating, it weighs about sixty tons and its engine delivers about 450 horsepower.

The Black Thunder unmanned version is outfitted with cameras and remote actuators; it is used in areas too dangerous to work in.
Ironically, the same D9 bulldozer (albeit an earlier model) was used in the 1974 sf movie Killdozer. In the film, the otherwise ordinary D9 bulldozer had a close encounter with an entity in a newly fallen meteor. After the incident, it operated autonomously.
