DIY Robot Shoots You In The Face
What could possibly be more useful than a robot that shoots you in the face? And you say that there are no such robots that are commercially available? Then you must construct one. Do it yourself!

I wish I knew more about this guy, I'm sure that we will hear more from him. Unless something bad happens.
Science fiction fans love guns that autonomously target and destroy their enemies. If you're my age, you probably read about this idea first in The Andromeda Strain, the 1969 novel by Michael Crichton. He describes automatic guns that secure the inner core of a government research facility.
In theory, once inside the central core, you could go straight to the top. But in practice, there were ligamine sensors located around the core to prevent this. Originally intended to prevent the escape of lab animals that might break free into the core... there were automatic guns that fired ligamine darts...

There are other examples, like the stationary automatic blaster from Robert Heinlein's 1949 novel Red Planet and the robot guns from Alan Dean Foster's novelization of the movie Aliens (1986).
However, real-world engineers were ahead of the writers (as far as I know), since the SCR-584 anti-aircraft gun laying radar was developed early in WWII.
