Stratuscent Electronic Nose

Science fiction movies and novels let me imagine this many decades ago. One of my favorites is the sniffer robot from Michael Crichton's 1985 film Runaway, which starred Tom Selleck, Kirstie Alley and Gene Simmons was the inspired choice to play the villain.
