Water Taxi Himiko and the Nautilus: Separated at Birth?
Anime artist Leiji Matsumoto designed a 114-ton Japanese water taxi to "appeal to the younger generation." It does! And it also appeals to anyone who liked the Nautilus in the Disney version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
(Water Taxi from Tokyo Cruise)
(Disney Nautilus Model from FX Models)
The taxi will operate between Asakusa and Odaiba; unfortunately, it travels entirely on the surface.
