Drivemocion More Expressive Than KITT

Drivemocion is an LED message system for your car; suction cup-mounted to your rear window, it provides feedback to other drivers.

The full Drivemocion system comes with the battery powered visible unit plus a wireless controller to choose from up to five different faces. It also provides three preprogrammed text messages.

Fans of Knight Rider remember the original, flashing-red-light-equipped car - KITT, the Knight Industries Two Thousand steed of steel.

As I recall, when KITT was particularly concerned, the lights seemed to flash back and forth faster. Also, I seem to recall a sort of sizzling electronic sound associated with the lights.

The Drivemocion does have one immediately obvious drawback - it only provides canned messages. I'm sure that the world's open source enthusiasts will demand access; we can all think of creative things to say to the morons who share the roads with us.

Don't miss these KITT-related news items: Mac Mini and KITT The Knight Rider and DARPA Urban Challenge - KITT, Put Up Or Shut Up. You can buy one at Drivemocion - an illuminating car; via I4U.
