Jack McDevitt:
Science Fiction Technology and Ideas
Author of a half-dozen novels and about fifty short stories. He has served as an officer in the Navy, taught English and literature and worked as a taxi driver in Philadelphia. His first novel The Hercules Text won the Philip K. Dick special award; he has been short-listed for both the Nebula and Hugo awards.
