"Neat device, though I'd imagine that if a device like this were to occur in real life, a majority it would be fatal to the person. Most of the mutations wouldn't be helpful at all. Also, it would be bad science to believe that the machine would automatically choose the "correct" evolutionary path, since evolution is a reactive force that effects a speices. Even if where, the machine would only make its patient adapted for its current environment, and not one that is yet to exist. "
