"Bill Christensen: Lovecraft's "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" (1936). Long and Lovecraft corresponded with each other as part of the "Lovecraft Circle", which included Robert Bloch, August Derleth, Donald and Howard Wandrei, Clark Ashton Smith, Henry Kuttner, and Robert E. Howard. Long also wrote a biography on Lovecraft. Though, it could be a coincidence as well. "
