Comments on Dub Pimpstar Rims LED Wheel Display
Forget driving while talking on a cell phone - this takes distracted driving to a whole new level. (Read
the complete story)
"Yup that Klassy with a capital K. So are laws going to have to be passed to stop people from doing every stupid thing that isn't driving behind the wheel?"
(Erik N. 1/8/2008 8:34:50 PM) |
"I had to laugh, imagining that guy taking a picture with a digital camera, uploading it to his laptop, manipulating the image and then pasting it into the Pimpstar software - all while driving! Hopefully, real-life users of Pimpstar Rims will have friends in the back seat doing all the heavy lifting, tech-wise."
(Bill Christensen 1/9/2008 5:11:59 AM) |
"Lol...dude...chick...sorry, whichever u are, that's funny...but your wheels would be flashin that for probably bout one good block when you first spin em, lmbo...cause that's about all the time you're gon have before you get jacked, and they get took, lol. This is pretty stupid to me...or at least till they become commonplace, if they will. Then I guess it'll just be normal. Technology. *shrugging* "
(M. 1/15/2008 5:37:10 AM) |
"Can anybody actually make out the lyrics of that song playing in the background?"
(erdraug 1/16/2008 4:21:19 AM) |
"Stupid beyond belief. The ad must be targeting idiots who inherited some money. The video reflects some adolescent male fantasy which has a 1 in 10^-9 chance of becoming reality. Kind of like the rap star image."
(Unthinker 1/19/2008 9:33:53 AM) |
"they lost me when they showed that you have to use a Windows laptop to make the system work. The driver looked as though he was plenty distracted by the babe in the Daytona convertible already, yet he's also now having to navigate a Windows screen, do a video capture from a digital camera, all to hook up (what Ferrari-driving vixen could resist video come-on's on hubcaps, eh?)
Whatever happened to lame pick-up lines in singles bars? Did these guys ever see what happens just when some idiot kid is texting and hits a concrete bridge abutment? Or oncoming traffic?"
(cajunman 1/20/2008 9:03:33 PM) |
"I cannot agree more with you. However, you guys commented on using this AMAZING product for personal use.
When I first saw the video, I thought of a great idea with which we can get a great new way of advertisement. In other words, companies can use such a product on their distribution cars with a CUSTOMIZED version of the Software so that whoever is driving cannot change the words/images/etc. and the only way to do that is through an administrator password or sth similar.
Finally, who =ever will be selling the product must sign an agreement with the buy showing clearly that he/she is not responsible for misusing the LED display and the buyer will be held responsible if such thing happend. ;) "

"they look good but I would be sad to spend like 16 grand just to get them stolen :("
