| "Not Star Trek: The Original Series, but Star Trek: Enterprise (with Scott Bakula as Captain Johnathan Archer) had an episode specifically named "Rogue Planet". [Season 1, episode 18 -- airdate March 20, 2002] Though eternally in "night" the wandering planet had an ecology based on non-solar heat sources (presumably from geothermal/volcanic and/or terrestrial radiation sources)
