Super Soaker With Electro-Hydrodynamic Power
An enhanced super soaker using electro-hydrodynamic propulsion has been created by Russian mad scientists.

(Super Soaker)
Special Materials, a company based in St. Petersburg is working on an "electro-hydrodynamical" nonlethal weapon for use by riot police or other such services.
The enhanced super soaker prototype is able to fire a half-ounce blast of water at a speed of approximately sixty meters per second. The intent is to create a nonlethal weapon capable of knocking down an adult from a distance of twenty feet. This objective can be accomplished with guns that fire bean bags or rubber bullets, but both of these weapons can still potentially maim.
"The jet damaging capability is determined by its kinetic energy and depends on its mass and flow velocity. Maximum flow velocities (so-called concurrent flow velocity ratio) can be obtained behind a propagating shock wave front..."
A water electrical discharge is an effective source of high and super high pressure waves. The pressure wave characteristics such as amplitude, propagation velocity, compression zone extension are determined by a set of the electrical charge and discharge circuit characteristics: stored energy, maximum speed of energy input in the discharge, discharge gap voltage, discharge gap length, electrode shape.
