For me, the coolest thing about it is that your child (or your inner child!) can get right at it, controlling the robot and getting it to perform complex actions with simple, intuitive hand and arm movements. One of the most frustrating problems with consumer toy bots like Robosapien is that it takes time to program it, or to learn how to use the remote.
Humanoid Robots Tickle The Ivories
'The massive feet working the pedals, arms and hands flashing and glinting...' - Herbert Goldstone, 1953.
Golf Ball Test Robot Wears Them Out
"The robot solemnly hit a ball against the wall, picked it up and teed it, hit it again, over and again...' - Frederik Poh, 1954.
