Robotic Crow Design, Like Crows, Is A Bit Creepy
Even though this is only a design, not even a prototype, it still captures the creepiness of crows. Or maybe it's just me - they are smarter than you think.

Concept designer Amin Akhshi aims to design a series of bionic birds, and the Hooded Crow is the first one he’s created in the collection. The robotic bird has peculiar awe to it, and in a way does away with the fear element we normally associate with the crows. The aim of this flying machine has something to do with the reconnaissance and rescue missions (in my purview) as it is loaded with cameras and sensors.
Consider this fictional example, the robot bird from Philip E. High's 1968 novel Invader on My Back could perform this feat:
He ruffled his plastic feathers. "I have calculated... that the retentive capacity of my memory is now restricted to a mere 70,000 additional words - how about fixing me up with two more retentive banks?"...Craig smiled faintly. "As soon as possible and that's a promise." Gun extended one wing, examined his feathers and said: "Many thanks."
When he had first built them, they had been crude indeed, flying mechanisms with little more than a reflex-response unit. Over the years, however, he had given them life and intelligence... They had developed into personalities and provided stimulating companions in his isolation.
