"The wealth of the universe is all over your head. We need to take command of the solar system to gain that wealth..."
- Larry Niven

Sleep Tube
  A short, cylindrical living space.

This is a variation on the coffin hotel idea, which predates their use in cyberpunk. The perfect camping accoutrement when visiting Stonehenge.

Each [tube] was three meters long; the singles were a meter and a half in diameter, the doubles two. Each was furnished with a locker beneath a gel matress, a telelink terminal and a water bubbler passing for a sink...

Wynne and Tod had their sleep tube shipped from the rack in Battersea to Stonhenge for the five-day festival. It and a thousand others lay near the old car park across the A360 from the dome that now protected the stones. The tubes looked like giant Soar capsules scattered in the grass.
