"As a writer, I don't want to chew my cud. I don't want to have to spit out and regurgitate the same stuff again."
- Harlan Ellison

Flatscreen Movie
Like holographic or three-dimensional recordings, but showing only two dimensions.

Way retro, those flatscreen movies. Your new 42 inch flat panel monitor is only two-dimensional - nothing like science fiction to let you know how much more better the future will be than the present.

"It's different, but I like it," Randy said.

"The Ceremonies?"

"Yeah. We 'say grace.'"

"Like in the old flatscreen movies?"

"Yeah."

I wonder if movie studios will try to "three-dimensionalize" movies, just like they tried to colorize them? You don't hear much about colorization anymore. Is it because there really isn't that big a market for those old movies? The biggest differences between old black and white movies and present day movies is pacing - not color or even special effects.
