Robert J. Sawyer (b. 1960) is a Canadian science fiction writer. He grew up in Toronto, and now resides in Mississauga, Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Radio and Television from Ryerson University of Toronto. He won the 1995 Nebula Award for his novel The Terminal Experiment and the 2003 Hugo for his novel Hominids.
