"Wow Matt, what can I say but, for a social commentator and a scientific cautionary, you sure do punctuate poorly."

"there are many other 0ther "hints' that deckard is a replicant from the "glow' in his eyes when he's with rachel (a repeated symbol for the replicants, the glowing eyes like a robot) to gaff's statement at the end..."you've done a man's job sir..." the unicorn imagery being connected from the dream to the origami is tenous and speculative at best...it's more likely a continuation of the device used thru out the film to illustrate deckard's frame of mind thru gaff's origami....the chicken when he's in bryant's office to illustrate fear, the man with a hard on to illutrate a "man on a mission" or a score to settle, the unicorn to illustrate the impossible dream, what can never be...etc. and of course the music of the soundtrack "you're just to good to be true...." there are other hints....like bryant's statement..."stop right where you are, you know the score pal. if you're not cop you're little people" "no choice?" " no choice pal" simple logic, the bladerunner units were "formed" to track the replicants . who could catch a superior being but another supereior being...nexus six is just a bit more superior being the new generation that deckard isn't even aware exists till bryant tells him. in any case, the real point or meaning of the whole film is that WE ARE ALL REPLICANTS..."too bad she won't live, but then again...who does." so from that standpoint. of course deckard's a replicant. who isn't. it's just the 4 year lifespan that forces you to think about it. "what if you only had 6 months to live? what would you do?" know anyone who is angry at god for something? the creator? get it? how many sick jokes has "the creator " played on "us"? anyway, i could go on forever discussing one of my ultimate top ten films of all time but i'm out of time. consider this....do you know any coldhearted persons who couldn't care less about anyone? no empathy? hmmm...do these replicants exist now? of course they do...not created by a human genetic lab but....hmmm... "

"In future with andriod replication becoming so advanced will it be possible to have them also simulate reality based sexual organs and to possibly replace human mates in the servile aspect,s of being assigned masters ?With upkeep and maintenance on them can this be possible for those among us with the financial backing ?Thankyou "

"The Voight-Kampff Empathy Test, is remarkably similar to the tests administered to diagnosed Asperger's Syndrome, a mild from of autism, characterised a deficit in Empathy. Intriguingly, many people with AS are unaware of their empathy deficit and thus AS. Recall that Rachael Rosen does not know that she is an Android, it takes more then 100 questions. Also, the humans worry that they maybe Android. Deckert buys a goat to prove his empathy and humanity. Later, it is accepted that Androids have some of the rights earlier assigned only to humans. The book is very similar to today’s emergent Autism culture, facilitated by the internet, those with a social disability are for the first time connecting and in doing are forming a group identity. Google - Empathy Quotient (EQ) test."

"Diamond Dave accurately quotes my piece on PKD and Asperger's tests JADD 34 (5) 587-588. I also noted that the description of the administration of the test captures the experience of professional psychological testing. Finally, PKD's 'ear' caught the jargon of the professional with his discussion of various revisions of the test at the Moscow (sic) Pavlov Institute. (There is a real one in St. Petersburg.) "

"I've been diagnosed with Asperger's; it has cast a new light on my impression when I watched Bladerunner the first couple of times that I'd have trouble passing a Voight-Kampff test. A lot of my responses would be 'That's not a question'."
