| "I'm not chemist enough to be specific, so I'm probably way out of line through my ignorance, but: a number of substances are subsumed by the organizms into which they are introduced by whatever means, accidental or purposive. so, cork the nanos with a substance that is stable in air and the delivery system until acted upon by the host organism itself. or why not actual parafin/wax (i repeat my no-chemist comment) that would ooze away under regular body heat and then would pass out of the organism in the usual way, like that used in cocholates or in those tiny wax bottles of flavored goop i used to get when i was a kid (yeah, i'm old, LOL). waxes/parafins of various types can be engineered to various viscosities and generally don't interact with organisms.
