Dating Service Uses DNA To Find Best-Smelling Mate
ScientificMatch.com is a splendid new dating service that lets you get right to the important characteristics of your online dating match - how they smell.

Scientificmatch.com claims to help you find a more satisfying relationship because DNA testing will allow users to "share chemistry with each other - literal, physical chemistry."
The service is not cheap; it requires a DNA analysis that costs $2,000. But, if it's true, as ScientificMatch.com insists, that "Nature wants us to breed with people who have different immune system genes from our own," then maybe it would be worth it to know in advance.
The site bases its analysis on the results of a 1995 study lead by Clause Wedekind, sometimes referred to as the "sweaty t-shirt experiment." In the study, women sniffed t-shirts that had recently been worn by men. Researchers found that the perceived "sexiness" of the smell of his unwashed t-shirt, is directly related to how different his immune system is from the woman judging the sexiness. Subsequent studies have apparently confirmed similar effects on both men and women.
