(Sarcos air hockey-playing robot video)
Did you ever have the feeling that you were just not keeping up in the world of technology? It seems like only yesterday that I compared the Sarcos XOS exoskeleton with the HAL exoskeleton in hopes of determining who might be the first exoskeleton maker to duplicate the Iron Man suit .
And now, look who apparently has the lead in robot air hockey? Even the most responsive exoskeletal super-suit needs to have some autonomic functions. Cyberdyne Inc of Japan, developers of the HAL Hybrid Assistive Limb exoskeleton - it's your move.
And yes, if you're wondering whether or not robots can also play board games, of course they can. See Forget The Wookie - Two Robots Play Board Game and REEM-A, the chess-playing robot .
