Talkie Toaster AI Website - Would You Like Some Toast?
Talkie Toaster is a very single-minded toaster on the Red Dwarf television series. Talkie Toaster is an artificially intelligent appliance, and as such is obsessed with making toast for everyone on board.
Take a look at this short clip following his repair by Kryten, after Lister smashed the toaster with a fourteen pound lump hammer.
(Talkie Toaster in Red Dwarf)
The events of Red Dwarf take place about 300 years in the future. In our time, however, clever boffins (the engineering team at Lucidica) decided to create Talkie Toaster and hook it up to the Internet.
Thomas Jeffs, the company's Chief Technology Officer, said "We're extremely devoted to our engineers' development and this project afforded them a great learning experience and a huge amount of fun at the same time. To tie it into the whole Red Dwarf theme and power it from an Argos toaster is even better!"
