| Afternoon found the elder Gleed
restless. He couldn't feel at ease
in this world of speed. His son seemed
too pent up about something to enjoy
his day off, so the father sought his own
diversion. He found a barber shop
which, he thought, would be good for
an idle hour.
The barber clamped a metal helmet over his head, adjusted the numerous buttons over its surface, turned an electric switch.
