"We were essentially being shell-shocked by rapid change. That was one of the things you needed science-fiction writers for back in the Sixties, because we could cope with the future."
- Peter Watts

Water From Lunar Gypsum
Extracting water (and therefore oxygen, by electrolysis) from apparently dry lunar material.

Assuming you can find gypsum on the moon, of course.

“Gypsum fed into the furnaces is quickly ejected as de-hydrated CaSO4, the water collected, and taken to the electrolysis apparatus.”
Technovelgy from The Moon is Hell, by John W. Campbell.
