What happens to people who spend too much time in immersive virtual reality environments that give different tactile feedback that the real "reality" environment?
| Damn! He swerved to avoid a 'trode-head who appeared out of nowhere, following behind his guide dog. Gobi thought of them as guide dogs for the perplexed. Technically speaking, these guys weren't even legally blind. They suffered from VR dyslexia - a form of extreme hand-eye disorientation resulting from excessive virtual tripping. They couldn't do simple things like tie their own shoelaces or place one foot ahead of the other. They had to wear corrective head braces and rely on guide dogs to get around. |

The problem is that these VR dyslexia sufferers have retrained their responses to a different environment. I wonder if something similar happens with kids who spend a lot of time with "extreme" skateboarding video games where the characters make impossible moves. Do the kids then try to make these moves, and fail spectacularly, resulting in injuries?
