It seems like this is an old idea, but I can't find earlier references to the idea.

And, at her wrist, she wound her watch-actually winding a low-velocity homeostatic cyanide-tipped dart which she would control by the "watch" controls; it could either take out this man or, if others showed up, herself, in case of a failure of the oral poison. In any case she sat back rigid, waiting. |
