with the option of human (fallible)
jury, or robotic (infallible) jury-
mech.
Irrationally, he chose the human jury... ...he also knew that advantage would have been lost, had he chosen a robot jurymech to try the case. The nice things about humans tied in with their irrationality. They were human, they could see the human point of view. A robot would see the robotic point of view. Bergman desperately needed that human factor. |
