I can't find any indication that space agencies are developing some sort of drug to help astronauts cope with prolonged high acceleration - probably because astronauts don't experience it yet, except on take-off.
The research seems to center on space motion sickness (SMS). The early astronauts in the Mercury and Gemini programs did not experience SMS, apparently because their range of motion and ability to see outside were so restricted by the small capsules. Promethazine has been given to astronauts to help them cope with the symptoms, with some limited success. Read more here (it's an old article, but well-written).
