Beatie Wolfe's Album Is A Deck Of NFC Cards

Beatie Wolfe's new album is presented in a unique format - a pack of NFC cards. Cue the video.

(Beatie Wolfe's Album Is A Deck Of NFC Cards)

Beatie Wolfe, in association with MOO, has created the world’s first ever NFC enabled album, marking a new intersection between technology and music. Beatie Wolfe’s much-anticipated album, Montagu Square, pioneers an entirely new format: a crafted yet cutting-edge album release which has been designed to preserve the tangibility and storytelling of music in the digital age.

Each track on Beatie Wolfe’s Montagu Square comes with its own beautifully printed card featuring artwork, lyrics and an embedded Near Field Communication (NFC) chip - allowing listeners to tap the cards from the Album Deck onto their phone to play the song and access its content.

Beatie Wolfe teamed up with MOO (who recently unveiled its new NFC-enabled paper technology) to create the first Album Deck of its kind and champion new ways for people to listen to music.

Sometimes, the science fiction writer makes predictions that can't possibly be true. For example, in Nine Princes in Amber, Roger Zelazny created the idea of Trumps, magical Tarot-like cards whose Major Arcana were members of a very unusual royal family.

A member of the family could take one of the cards, and in regarding it closely, would actually contact that person; the person would come alive on the face of the card.

Beatie Wolfe's album of near field communication (NFC) cards similarly brings to life a particular composition for the user. In the novel, different members of the family ruffle through the cards, dreaming and scheming and sometimes choosing to concentrate upon a card - and make contact.

Enjoy your time with this new album!
