Here's another sample of this simple idea, from Mirusha (2001) by Geoffrey A. Landis:
“Hi, Ryan,” he said.“Radkowski,” Ryan said. He was wearing a tee-shirt that read, “High Energy Physicists Have A Strange Charm.” He floated with the tip of one foot hooked under a loop to keep him from drifting av'ay. He was oriented sideways to Radkowski’ s local veitical; it didn’t seem to bother him, although Radkowski still had troubles adapting to it.
Compare to the hand grips from Islands in Space (1932) by John W. Campbell.
