Karel Capek

Karel Capek was born in Bohemia (now in the Czech republic); he died in 1938. He wrote short stories and poetry while still in high school. He received a doctorate in 1915. He wrote many essays and plays; many of them denounced communism and fascism. His works were blacklisted by the Nazis during WWII. Select a novel or story title to see the inventions from that work:
