This book is the second in the HeeChee saga; the HeeChee are an alien race whose artifacts were found in the solar system. In this story, Robinette Broadhead is on an expedition to the Food Factory. A Food Factory is a HeeChee spaceship that can create food from material found in the Oort cloud; hydrogen, oxygen and carbon. The Oor cloud it is a cloud of comets and cometary materials that surrounds the solar system. Select an invention:
