Colony by Philip K. Dick:
Science Fiction Inventions, Technology and Ideas
"The worst part of having an alien enemy is that you can't always be sure whether it's an enemy - especially if you can't find it."
('Colony' by Philip K. Dick)
Paranoid classic from PKD; a group of space explorers lands on an unknown planet. Everything looks very favorable for colonization; but where are the lethal plants and animals? There don't appear to be any. Then, the deadly duplicates of ordinary objects begin to appear.
