by Jules Verne

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is a wonderful book. Written in the late 19th century, this book evokes a great love for the physical sciences on every page. At the time the book was written, all of the technologies and the devices in the book were brand-new. It is also a great adventure story. The story is told by Prof. Aronnax, who agrees to investigate a series of attacks on shipping vessels in the Atlantic Ocean. They find the sea monster that everyone thinks is responsible, but the sea monster turns out to be a submarine.
