Richard Marsten, pseudonym of Salvatore Albert Lombino (b. 1926 - d. 2005). He also wrote as Evan Hunter and Ed McBain. He wrote a few stories in the science fiction genre, mostly in the 1950's; much of his lifetime output of 150 novels and story collections are detective stories.
