Aleksandr Bogdanov

Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Bogdanov (Алекса́ндр Алекса́ндрович Богда́нов) (b. 1873 - d. 1928) was born in Tula to an educated family, studied science and psychology in Moscow and Kharkov, and received a medical degree in 1899. He was a key figure in the early history of the Bolshevik faction of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party, being one of its co-founders and a rival to Vladimir Lenin until being expelled in 1909.
