Maria Moravsky (b. 1889 - d. 1947) was a Polish poet and writer who barely escaped the 1917 revolution, arriving in the United States in 1917. She decided that prose would repay her efforts better than poetry; her work appeared in every sort of magazine, including Weird Tales and Startling Stories. Read more about her here.
