" Apparently, due to advances in plastics tech for containers, new hormone synthesis and cleaner nutrients supplies, it is possible to grow ma wider variety of tissues than ever before; An article in 'New Scientist' written by a tissue culture professor noted that one effect of this is that his Vegan students, on the lookout for ethicla sources of iron-rich food, are enquiring about taking a biopsy of _their_own_ livers and growing it for food - The liver is ideal as not only iron-rich, it is known to grow pretty easily if givn half a chance. he discourages it only because the nutrients are expensive and he would rather see then go into growing tissue for mediacl reasons, but otherwise has no objections."

"Always the same problem. Industrial way of production creates a crisis in environment. Why not to use vegetable plants to produce meat in place of a reffinning and pollutin old system of production? People never learns from their own mistakes."
