| "Bluetooth is a networking standard invented in 1994 by L.M. Ericsson of Sweden. It was named after Harald Blaatand "Bluetooth" II, who was the king of Denmark from 940-981 A.D. The basic idea of Bluetooth is that devices that have hardware that supports the standard are able to form ad hoc networks when brought into close proximity (usually 10 feet or less) of each other.
