"The article you reference is about deceleration g-forces. The purpose of the research was to see if it was even possible to 'punch out' of a plane at extremely high speeds (and whether it was useful to build cockpit materials that could survive an 18g or greater crash). The guy in the test experienced very high - 46g - forces momentarily, then very high g-forces for a few seconds on deceleration.
This is very different from what is referred to in my short article, namely, the ability to take very high positive g-forces for a long period of time. "
