Edgar Bain:
Science Fiction Technology and Ideas
Edgar Collins Bain (b. 1891 – d. 1971) was an American metallurgist and member of the National Academy of Sciences. He worked for US Steel on the alloying and heat treatment of steel; Bainite is named in his honor.
