Edgar Bain:
Science Fiction Technology and Ideas
Edgar Collins Bain (b. 1891 d. 1971) was an American metallurgist and member of the National Academy of Sciences. He worked for US Steel on the alloying and heat treatment of steel; Bainite is named in his honor.
